Jo-Neal will demonstrate this ancient, fine art technique. There is also lots to discuss about future 2012 happenings like the Spring Show, Garden Art Tour, Christmas Show, Meeting Activities, and maybe additional shows. But first of all, we need dues paid to meet monthly, required expenses! Pay Today! <<<<<<<>>>>>>> Jean’s Strokes: Happy New Year Everyone!!! We sure had a wonderful Christmas party, sorry if you missed it. The Ransome's did a wonderful job again on the ham, THANK YOU. We also had beautiful music by Esther Bartlett with her friend and we THANK THEM as well! I would also like to THANK Carol Rodriguez for all she does for the Guild. She agreed to be chair for the Spring Show again this year. We are looking forward to more success this year. So I hope you plan on being a part of this great show. It is never too early to get a start on our Studio and Garden tour, so please think about entering your yard this year or at least join this fast growing popular show. You may contact me at 934-3433. BRUSH & PALETTE ART SHOW 11th Annual Brush & Palette Art Show--Marilyn Benson (937-8108)..Sun, 26 Feb (11 to 4) at the Foxenwood Tennis & Swim Club, 1087 Clubhouse Dr, Orcutt. Free Admission with complimentary wine and hors d'oeuvres. Eight participating artists; most LPAG members.
CALL FOR ARTISTS In April, Altrusa International Foundation of Santa Maria, People for Leisure and Youth (PLAY), SM Rec & Parks, and the Friends of the SM Public Library will be holding a fundraiser to benefit the SM Public Library. The Fundraiser is called DEAR (Drop Everything and Read). Artists will be invited to paint a provided chair themed to a book or literary genre which will then be raffled off. All chairs created will be a donation to benefit the Library. We are sending out a Call to Artists and would like to include as many Central Coast artists as possible. Contact: Deborah L. MEMBER HAPPENINGS Rite & Joe Shaw--Were delighted and excited to see several pieces of their handcrafted porcelain pottery featured in the 805 Living Magazine, Dec Holiday issue. The photograph featuring Shaw Pottery is on page 83. Mike Corob--shows his paintings, sublIimation printed tiles and neck ties at the TCG, 2 Sisters Book Barn & Gift Boutique, Gold Coast Art 'n Frames, and the Back Porch Flower & Gift Shop. He also teaches Mom's club art classes at the TCG.
Beth Ostapiuk--Beth is offering a Ceramic Painting Workshop Friday's (12-5) at TCG.
Barbara Alloway--is showing at the Arroyo Grande Clark Center.

Marilyn Dover Benson--Marilyn is permanently displaying her art at SLO Therapy Clinics in Orcutt & Santa Maria and at the Lucia Mar Unified School District office. She is currently displaying at Grand Estates in AG, SM Board of Realtors, SM Airport Showcase, Mussell Center. Mike Corob & Sharon Foster--are both showing at “Chez Jeanía”, an art, antique, collectables shop in the Santa Maria Inn.
